OAN is around still. Thanks AT&T

The Story -  To be clear though, I first heard this on John Oliver's show.

Most of the articles on this are at least 2 to 3 years old, so not certain on where this currently stands now.  That being said, this article, has 1 pretty damning fact on it.

CLAIM: “AT&T has never had a financial interest in OAN’s success and does not ‘fund’ OAN.”

FACT: No one would have any financial interest in OAN were it not for AT&T's early and ongoing support for the company. Per Reuters, "Ninety percent of OAN’s revenue came from a contract with AT&T-owned television platforms, including satellite broadcaster DirecTV, according to 2020 sworn testimony by an OAN accountant.” If that’s not what “funding” something looks like, I don’t know what does.

Thousands Reported Issues With Messaging Platform

To be truthful, I hardly noticed it.  I don't really rely on this platform, or any messaging platform for that matter.  I'm a Luddite maybe.

But you did. You are not crazy, my friends. And so we are about to be gaslit in a truly unprecedented way. It starts with a check for $1,200 (Don’t say I never gave you anything) and then it will be so big that it will be bigly. And it will be a one-two punch from both big business and the big White House — inextricably intertwined now more than ever and being led by, as our luck would have it, a Marketer in Chief. Business and government are about to band together to knock us unconscious again. It will be funded like no other operation in our lifetimes. It will be fast. It will be furious. And it will be overwhelming. The Great American Return to Normal is coming.

Food Supply Chain is under heavy stress

https://prospect.org/coronavirus/supply-chain-broken-american-food-supply/

What accounts for this massive logistical failure, now artificially creating shortages? In nonviral times, much of the food being produced on farms would be sent to schools and restaurants. But with those locations shut down almost categorically nationwide, there’s no infrastructure in place to simply redirect the food to grocery stores and food banks, especially with short-shelf-life items like vegetables, meat, and dairy. Those two tracks—commercial and consumer food supply chains—remain fiercely separated.

Nation's Largest Hispanic Journalist Group Drops Fox News Sponsorship

https://www.npr.org/2019/08/23/753626495/nations-largest-hispanic-journalist-group-drops-sponsorship-by-fox-news

The move will cost the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) some money since Fox was signed up to be a sponsor of their upcoming conference.

The group published a letter to its members Thursday saying it will return more than $16,000 donated by Fox News to sponsor its upcoming conference in San Antonio.

"To accept financial support from an entity that perpetuates the spread of disinformation to the public about the Hispanic and Latino community risks the integrity and credibility of NAHJ's 35 year mission," wrote Hugo Balta, the association's president.
